DraftKings Inc. (Nasdaq: DKNG) and Live! Hospitality & Entertainment, a division of The Cordish Companies, announced that its latest DraftKings Sports & Social venue will open on Thursday, May 9, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio. The venue will open in the former Melt space on High St. in downtown’s thriving Short North Arts District. DraftKings Sports & Social will be open Sunday – Wednesday from 11am – 11pm and Thursday – Saturday from 11am – 2am. On Thursday, May 9, the venue will open for the first time at 9pm following its invitation-only VIP Preview Party. This is Live! Hospitality & Entertainment’s second venue opening in the market this year following a successful opening of PBR Cowboy Bar at Easton Town Center in February.
The collaboration between DraftKings and Live! Hospitality & Entertainment brings together DraftKings’ sports entertainment and gaming platforms and Live! Hospitality & Entertainment’s market leadership in operating high-energy, first-class Sports & Social venues. The Columbus opening will mark the third location for the concept and first to open in Ohio. Other locations of DraftKings Sports & Social can be found in Troy, MI, just outside of downtown Detroit, and at Nashville Live! on 2nd Avenue in the heart of downtown Nashville.

DraftKings Sports & Social is a spot to grab a beer, socialize with friends, enjoy a bite to eat, have a fun night out or watch a game. Guests will be able to enjoy a scratch-made menu of elevated bar fare for lunch, dinner and late night, happy hour and late-night parties, a variety of monthly events and promotions, interactive social games including Beirut, as well as a premier live sports viewing and wagering experience.
The 5,500 SF bar and restaurant will be highlighted by a state-of-the-art, 37-foot LED media wall – as well as 20 additional HDTVs – that will allow guests to watch multiple games and sporting events at once. Eligible guests will enjoy DraftKings’ guest-friendly mobile platforms to place bets using the DraftKings Sportsbook app, along with participating in daily fantasy sports contests from their mobile devices across various sports, including football, basketball, baseball, golf, MMA, soccer, tennis and more, while watching multiple games live.

On game day at DraftKings Sports & Social, guests will be able to view the best sports in the region for major collegiate, professional and national sporting events of all types including Ohio State Athletics, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Columbus Crew. Watch parties include special elements such as local celebrity hosts, DJs, in-game entertainment, live fan-cams, industry-leading AV effects, swag and giveaways, and team fight and victory songs.
Curated by James Beard Award Nominee Chef John Suley, the menu will feature made-from-scratch items such as spicy tuna bites, chicken-bacon ranch soft crunch tacos, a miso-glazed salmon bowl, Nashville hot chicken sandwich, Philly cheesesteak, pepperoni flatbread and loaded nachos. A carefully crafted beverage menu will feature over 30 local and national beers, innovative specialty cocktails, and Sports & Social’s signature ‘Crush Drink’ which is landing in Ohio for the first time. The Maryland beverage takes fresh squeezed juice and your choice of spirit and serves it up over crushed ice.
DraftKings Sports & Social has options for large- and small-scall events including happy hours, cocktail parties, galas, concerts, team building, receptions, birthdays, holiday parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate events, charity fundraisers and reunions.
