(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Monday, May 13, the City of Colorado Springs will start working on a road improvement project at the South Nevada and I-25 interchange.

The city is proposing a plan to improve the flow of traffic and increase queueing capacity from South Nevada Avenue to northbound I-25. Signals and signage will also be improved at all four intersections in the interchange.

In addition, a pedestrian bridge will be added over Cheyenne Creek. The pedestrian bridge will improve access for pedestrians and will update the current facilities to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

More information is available at http://www.coloradosprings.gov/I25Ramps . Community members can also call 719-362-0614 or email TejonNevadaCorridor@gmail.com with questions.

The project is a Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority (PPRTA) A-list project and was approved by voters. The project will cost $9.1 million and is expected to take an estimated 9 months to complete.
