CFB world absolutely blasts Shedeur Sanders

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders faces heavy criticism after commenting on a former Buffalo.

Earlier this week, an Athletic article on the Colorado program was published. The article didn’t exactly paint CU in a positive light. While none of the issues unearthed are necessarily uncommon across the entire sport, no details included endeared themselves to many.

Neither did Sanders’ comments on Tuesday.

In response to comments a former Buffalo made about head coach Deion Sanders, Shedeur’s father and former NFL great, on his lack of compassion, Sanders stepped up to say, “Ion even remember him tbh. Bro had to be very mid at best.”

As the article notes, Xavier Smith, a former Buffalo, discussed how Sanders telling him he should explore the transfer portal made him “mad.” He claims Deion could have handled things more compassionately. Based on the details of the article and everything else aware on the surface, this is not the worst assessment to make.

But Sanders arguably decided to make things worse on Tuesday by making these comments. There’ll have to be a lot done in the meantime to get back any goodwill based on how the response to his response played out.

The college football world had plenty to say.

Whether Sanders regrets pressing send is yet to be seen. However, based on how things went in this year’s NFL Draft, you wonder if these comments will come back to haunt him.
