Man shot and killed in North Philadelphia near car accident scene
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man died after he was shot three times in North Philadelphia Monday morning, police said. The man was shot twice in the head and once in the back around 11:25 a.m. at the intersection of North 5th and West Ontario streets, Philadelphia police said. The shooting happened on the same block as a two-vehicle crash involving a black Ford truck and a white Volkswagen sedan. Police have not said whether the car accident and the shooting are related. The man who was shot was taken to Temple University Hospital by police and was pronounced dead at 11:40 a.m.Police have not shared information about any arrests yet. No weapons were recovered at the scene, according to police.
Police searching for 3 suspects tied to shooting near SEPTA transit hub in March
Philadelphia police are offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of three suspects involved in a fatal shooting in Frankford last month. On March 25, Stephen Young, 33, and another man were shot at Griscom and Arrott streets, just outside Arrott Transportation Center at 4:49 p.m. Young was shot in the chest and died. The other man, 20, was shot in his back and twice in a leg. He was treated for his injuries at Temple University Hospital.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Center City shut down a part of Market Street on Sunday night, Philadelphia police said. Three cars collided at 11th and Market streets at around 10:30 p.m.Police said one person was trapped in a car and had to be rescued. That person and another were taken to the hospital, police said. Their conditions aren't known at this time. Market Street was shut down in both directions between 10th and 11th streets for several hours due to the crash. It's unclear what led to the crash.
