Defect found on spillway gate at Albeni Falls Dam during rehabilitation
OLDTOWN, Idaho. — Spill operations remain restricted at Albeni Falls Dam during a major rehabilitation project initiated in 2023. According to the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), there are base metal flaws and defects on a spillway gate. The gates are to the original dam built in 1955, using the same type of steel. USACE said they will develop a schedule to evaluate all gates to determine if similar defects exist.

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — For the 39th summer, The Kootenai Farmers’ Market is connecting local producers with the local community. The farmers’ market offers various unique and locally sourced food and crafts made by small businesses and farms. It has two locations, a Saturday market on southeast Corner Highway 95 & Prairie Avenue in Hayden from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and a Wednesday market on Main Street, Riverstone, Coeur d’Alene from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

$2 million Powerball ticket sold in north Idaho
BOISE, Idaho – A $2 million winning Powerball ticket was sold in Bonner County. According to the Idaho Lottery, the draw took place at a retail store. “The winning Powerball numbers for the draw were 7, 23, 24, 56, and 60. The Powerball number was 25. The winning ticket matched all five of the first numbers, but not the Powerball,” Idaho Lottery said.
