So for residents, Route 95 is the way to the closest in-state hospital with obstetrics care, which is at least an hour’s drive south — or longer in the snowy winter.
Multi-Vehicle Injury Crash on US95 Near Sandpoint Prompts Investigation
Wednesday at 10:59 AM, the Idaho State Police responded to a multi-vehicle injury crash on US95 milepost 472.5, just south of Sandpoint on the Long Bridge. A black Ford pickup driven by a 21-year-old male was traveling southbound when the driver lost control and hit the jersey barrier. The vehicle then collided with a northbound white Subaru Forester driven by a 33-year-old female.
