Suddenly, Lives Are in Turmoil
Devastating is among the few accurate descriptions for what transpired last Tuesday afternoon on Florence Blvd as David Ray Terry, 53, and Dawn Buchanan, 57, driving separate vehicles, were killed instantly through no fault of their own. Preliminary reports are that Terry was traveling westward and Buchanan eastward when a vehicle coming off Sweetwater Ave. failed to yield. Buchanan’s instinctive reaction to avoid a collision caused her to lose control of her vehicle and careen across the narrow median headlong into Terry’s vehicle. As of press time for this article, neither the third vehicle nor its driver has been identified.
If You Are Hurt in An Accident
If you are hurt tell a doctor or medical provider. Do what they ask you to do. If that means taking medicine or going to physical therapy, then take the medicine and go to physical therapy. If you don’t, you can’t really say you did everything you could to be fully healed. If you don’t do everything you could to be better, then a jury could think that maybe you could be better than you are and hold that against you. It creates an issue that can be avoided.
