Warming Up & Mostly Dry 4-23-2024
For more Permian Basin weather…check here on https://www.yourbasin.com/weather/forecast/. Summerlike heat will briefly return across most of The Basin as with mostly sunny skies, Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips expects temperatures to soar into the high 70’s, 80’s, and lower 90’s. Humid air will retreat to far eastern areas of West Texas in the afternoon as with a quick-hitting atmospheric disturbance arriving, a couple of thunderstorms may fire off around the area. Otherwise, with the big-time warmth, westerly dry winds will collide with south-southeasterly muggy winds along I-10 and with northeasterly damp winds along The Caprock. The dry punch will lose out to the more-humid air that will creep back in overnight into tomorrow as clouds with lower afternoon temperatures will ensue as a result.
