Highway 6 remains closed in Clifton as city deals with aftermath of historic flooding
CLIFTON, Texas (KWTX) - The city of Clifton is still recovering from severe flooding over the weekend that left parts of Bosque county underwater. On Sunday, the Bosque County Sheriff’s Office described Clifton as an “island with water all around it” after all major roads in and out of the city were flooded.

At about Noon Sunday, the Clifton Police Department said Highway 6 had reopened at Meridian Creek, but remained closed at Neil’s Creek and FM 219.
