Earlier this month, Clemson played host to an intriguing prospect from the Palmetto State in Mani Lee of Cardinal Newman School (Columbia, S.C.).

The 6-foot-5, 195-pound junior attended the Tigers’ April 6 spring game at Death Valley.

“I’ve been a Clemson fan since I was a little kid, so just seeing the school I grew up watching on TV, and on top of that, all the hospitality all the coaches, players and staff showed just tells me this place really is a family,” Lee told The Clemson Insider.

Clemson is looking at Lee both as an edge rusher and a tight end, and the class of 2025 recruit is planning to work out for the Tigers at the Dabo Swinney Camp this summer.

“I am coming back for camp. I just can’t wait to showcase my speed, my footwork, my pass rush and my catching, and overall I just can’t wait to compete,” he said.

Lee recently received offers from St. Andrews University and Florida Central Tech, and more offers are likely coming down the line for the talented and gifted athlete. Along with Clemson, he’s currently garnering interest from schools such as South Carolina, Penn, Navy, Cornell, UNC Charlotte, Old Dominion and Chattanooga.

Lee’s spring game visit to Clemson marked his first trip to Tiger Town, and it’s safe to say he certainly came away impressed by his experience.

“This was the first Clemson visit I’ve been on and first time ever being at Clemson, and the first thing that stood out was all the smiles, man,” he said. “Everyone just looked like they wanted to be there, and actually I got greeted by everyone. It was just really a family there.”
