Unfortunately, at the present time it calls for a 60% chance of rain throughout the weekend. The Chamber will continue to monitor the forecast and make a decision about proceeding with planned activities for the 16th Annual Christmas in Claxton Celebration within the next 36 hours. UPDATE 9:00 PM 11/30: The suspect remains at large however Mike Broadhead, SPD Police Chief said, "We are getting great cooperation from the public and are making good progress on the case and are collecting useful evidence." The deceased has been identified. SPD is grateful for the communities help. Detectives spent the evening processing the scene and following various leads.
