Angel Reese Makes Strong Statement Following This Week's Media Scrutiny

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese recently received massive scrutiny for her decision to attend the Met Gala, instead of sticking with her team through practice and training.

Reese came out explaining that she could do both with her now famous "Maximize your 24 hours" quote. She was able to do just that after being seen at the Met Gala and playing in her second preseason game the night after.

There were questions surrounding Reese's dedication or potential fatigue, but she didn't skip a beat. Reese scored 13 points and added five rebounds, helping the Sky secure one of the biggest victories in a margin of score in franchise history.

"I went to the Met Gala, slayed the Met Gala in New York, came back, slayed against New York. It's what I do," said Reese, via ESPN on X.

Reese is a star on and off the court. She's able to strive in both atmospheres and any venture that happens outside of her business in basketball will be dealt with accordingly.
