Chicago Sky Defends Angel Reese After Latest WNBA Performance

Chicago Sky rookie Angle Reese was recently under major fire for attending the Met Gala. She reportedly skipped practice and many were questioning her commitment to basketball. Some called her out on her need for the spotlight, but Reese was simply celebrating her 22nd birthday with a wish she had for years.

She accepted the invite to be a part of a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After all the scrutiny she faced, Reese took to X to speak on the backlash and sent a simple message saying "Maximize your 24 hours."

Reese played in her first game since that drama on Tuesday and posted 13 points and five rebounds. She had yet another phenomenal outing in just her second professional matchup.

The official X account of the Chicago Sky sent its own blunt message after a massive win over the New York Liberty on Tuesday.

They quoted Reese with the response "Maximize your 24 hours," after she helped lead the team to victory.
