CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A North Side woman has been convicted of murdering and dismembering her landlord in the Arcadia Terrace neighborhood two years ago.

Sandra Kolalou was convicted of first-degree murder and concealing a homicidal death.

She was being evicted from a rooming house on the 5900 block of North Washtenaw. Other tenants heard arguing.

The landlord, 69-year-old Frances Walker, was murdered and dismembered.

Kolalou had called for a tow truck to take her to Foster Avenue Beach to get her car.

She brought a large garbage bag.

After a dispute with the driver, he called police and told them about the bag.

Police said it contained bloody towels.

They searched the home and found Walker’s head, arms and legs in the freezer.
