    Cheyenne area students recognized for academic excellence

    Perriton makes dean's list at Utah Tech

    ST. GEORGE, Utah – Students at Utah Tech University showcased exceptional academic performance during the spring 2024 semester, with 1,276 Trailblazers earning dean's list honors.

    Averie Perriton of Cheyenne was among those honored, earning a spot on the dean's list for the spring 2024 semester.

    To qualify, students had to attain a 3.5 to 3.89 grade point average and complete at least 15 credits.

    Dickinson State names Perez, Swanson to dean's list

    DICKINSON, N.D. – At the end of each regular semester, Dickinson State University recognizes those students named to the Dean's List. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time and must earn at 3.5 GPA or higher.

    Piper Perez and Ellie Swanson, both of Cheyenne, were named to the dean's list for the spring 2024 semester.

    Puev named to president's list at Dickinson State

    DICKINSON, N.D. – Alexis Puev of Cheyenne has been named to the Dickinson State University president's list for the spring 2024 semester.

    Eligible students must be enrolled full-time and have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.9 or higher.

    Cummings named to honors list at Concordia University

    SEWARD, Neb. – Concordia University in Nebraska recently named 205 students to its honors list for the spring 2024 semester.

    Students who earn a 3.90 GPA or higher while also completing at least 12 credit hours during the semester qualify for this list. Amira Cummings of Cheyenne was named to the Spring 2024 Term Honors List.

    Concordia University is a fully accredited, coeducational university of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, which currently serves more than 1,700 students.

    Three students from Cheyenne graduate from Hastings College

    HASTINGS, Neb. – Hastings College held its 138th commencement on May 18, awarding degrees to 219 undergraduates and five Master of Arts in Teaching graduates.

    The following students from Cheyenne were among the graduates:

    Tiena Kalei Chu, Magna Cum Laude with High Distinction in PsychologyMorgan Taylor O’Neill, MusicSarah Kathleen Sutton, Music

    Graduation honors are awarded to those students with outstanding academic records in their undergraduate work. Students who graduated with High Distinction in their major(s) earned a 3.85-4.0 grade point average.
