Man convicted of attempted murder escapes work detail in Burlington County town
An man serving a 22 year prison sentence for attempted murder escaped Tuesday from a work detail in Burlington County and remains on the run, according to police. Edward Berbon, 54, who was nearing the end of his mandatory minimum term, was assigned to a halfway house when he disappeared from a work detail in Mount Laurel, according to local police.

We have no information that Mr. Berbon poses any threat to the public. Mr. Berbon does NOT reside in Mount Laurel, the Mount Laurel Police Department has not had any contact with Mr. Berbon since he has been working here, and we have no information to indicate that he is currently in Mount Laurel.
