First frost of the season this weekend in the region
(WCYB) — Many of us saw our first frost of the season Sunday morning. More frost is possible Sunday night into Monday morning (October 19th, 2026). Frost Advisories or Freeze Warnings are in effect for part of the viewing area (north and east of the Tri-Cities). The typical first frost in the Tri-Cities happens in mid-October (around October 15th). The typical first freeze is around October 24th.
