Cogan Station, Pa. — A father was charged for concealing a gunshot wound his child suffered in October, according to a news release issued by Lycoming Regional Police Department. A handgun owned by Mark Anthony Dunlap, 35, of Cogan Station, was used in an accidental shooting inside Dunlap's home on Pleasant Valley Road in Hepburn Township. Lycoming County Prison-to-College Program Receives Second Grant from FCFP for Community Development
The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) has given a second grant to the Lycoming County Prison-to-College Program. This program is run by Pennsylvania College of Technology. Betty M. Gilmour, FCFP's director of grantmaking, presented a $75,000 check to Craig A. Miller, the program's director. The program's goal is to provide education to individuals and contribute to community development. It is in line with Penn College’s human services & restorative justice major.
Nearly half ounce of methamphetamine delivered to informant
Lock Haven, Pa. — A woman allegedly sold more than an ounce of methamphetamine to an informant over the course of five months this year. Kira Joy Krape, 23, initially met with the informant at Walmart in Lock Haven to sell 1.7 grams of the drug, Officer David Winkleman said. Posts and sign stolen in Tioga County
Morris, Pa. — Someone stole sign posts and a township sign from Landrus Road in Morris Township, police say. State police at Mansfield currently are investigating the theft of several metal green posts and a white sign that says "Morris Township." The township sign was located at the start of Landrus Road from Morris. Police say the thefts occurred between Oct. 28 and Nov. 6. Anyone with information may contact PSP Mansfield at 570-662-2151.
