Felony warrant for arrest suspect apprehended
On Saturday, February 24, the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office served a Felony Warrant for Arrest on 26 year Reidsville, N.C. Township resident Tyler Joseph Bickar. He was charged by Rockingham County with (1) count of Embezzlement and (1) count of Obtaining Property by False Pretense. He was released from the Caswell County Detention Center after posting a $5000.00 Secured Bond. His first appearance in Rockingham District Court was scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — A juvenile petition has been issued after a reported threat of mass violence on the property of McDougle Middle School in Chapel Hill. Captain Ryan Daniels of the Carrboro Police Department confirmed a juvenile petition has been filed with a charge of communicating a “threat of mass violence on educational property.”
New superintendent named at Caswell County School system
The Caswell County Board of Education has selected JoAnna Gwynn to become the next superintendent of Caswell County Schools effective July 1, 2024. The board made its selection during a meeting on Monday, February 26, 2024. Gwynn is a native of Caswell County and has worked for the school district for a total of 14 years. She has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and most recently as the director of human resources.
