TVA plans an overnight outage for the Jellico area on Saturday
JELLICO, Tenn. — Jellico Utilities said the Tennessee Valley Authority has scheduled a planned outage from 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 to 8 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3. Jellico Utilities said it will turn off the power for all of its 4,500 customers in the Campbell County and Whitely County, KY areas. However, some customers could see their power on sooner.

The Oak Ridge Senior Center will hold its Holiday Reception for area senior citizens, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Civic Center gymnasium, 1403 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Light boxed lunches of chips, cookies, and a choice of either egg salad, chicken salad or pimento cheese sandwiches will be served, a senior center release said.
