CAN launches Cambridge Waterfront Development survey
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – There’s been a lot of talk about what will be done with the Cambridge Waterfront. Locals are launching a survey to find out what the community wants from the land. The Cambridge Association of Neighbors tells us one suggestion was to move the YMCA to the waterfront. But, some residents are questioning whether a non-profit that doesn’t generate public revenue would be the best fit for such an attractive plot of land. Chuck McFadden tells us that other residents believe the current location of the YMCA allows it to better serve the community as it is more towards the center of the city rather than on the edge.

Bucs survive Easton rally
EASTON — The bus carrying the Kent Island High boys lacrosse team had already left by the time Easton head coach Dennis Keenan emerged from the storage shed that serves as his team’s quasi locker room. “There’s a reason why they’re reigning champs,” Keenan said of the Buccaneers. One of the biggest reasons Monday was Kent Island didn’t give Drew Schmidt any room or angle to shoot in the dramatic...

CAMBRIDGE — Dorchester County’s proposed $86,523,125 fiscal year 2025 draft budget is a balanced budget, County Finance Director Karen Tolley said at a council meeting May 7. “We’re excited about that,” said Tolley, who is also the mayor of Church Creek. And some did, while others fell just short after making deep playoff runs. Three Bayside South baseball teams, two softball teams and one lacrosse team played on Friday, in games that varied from close nail-bitters to dominant blowout victories. Two of those teams were able to keep...
A Defining Moment for the Lakeside Development? A Chat with County Council Member Pete Lesher

In...
House of the Week: Boulevard Beauty
North Fork is the only boulevard in the Easton Village neighborhood and this charming home is ideally situated on one side of the boulevard between two trees that frame the house. The five-bay house is set high enough for privacy but not so high as to discourage interaction with neighbors on their daily strolls. The exterior color palette of pale green cementitious siding with white trim, the darker color of the low slope roof over the front porch, and the attention paid to scale, proportion, and detailing create great curb appeal.
