In September, the board of directors for both the Mendota Elementary School District and the Mendota High School District joined in a subcommittee meeting to re-look into combining to form one school district in the city. At Monday's board meeting, the high school district stated at this time, they will not pursue a formal feasibility study to go further into joining the elementary district. The districts will remain apart, while continuing collaboration efforts and seeking cost-savings measures for both parties.
