Michalski wins distance event
Chequamegon High School senior Autumn Michalski won her event at the Hale Distance Night meet at West Allis Athletic Complex on April 26. Michalski was the only athlete from the four area schools to compete. Michalski placed first in the 1,600 metter run with a time of 4:56.77. Softball leaders Chequamegon and Athens to meet
The Athens High School girls softball team remains in first place with a 5-0 record in the Marawood-North conference and a 9-2 overall record. The team will play at second place Chequamegon on April 30, before hosting the Eagles on May 2. Chequamegon is 3-1 in the conference and 9-1 overall. The Eagles most recently won 2-1 against Newman Catholic, and are on a six game win streak after taking two-game series from Prentice and Flambeau, and splitting a series with Phillips. ...
