The Wisconsin Dept. of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation has identified the suspect in a fatal shooting earlier this month as 50-year-old Christopher J. Dyer. Phillips still seeking funds for playground improvements at Elk Lake Park
Phillips, Wis. (WJFW) - Underway in Phillips is an effort to improve the community playground at Elk Lake Park. Kristen Harper is the owner of Cabin Creations in Phillips and has previously worked with the city to bring upgrades to the park. She says the fundraising goal for the playground project is $222,000, but the Price County Public Health group has already used COVID relief funds from the American Rescue Plan to cover $100,000 of that cost.
