They quickly got into selling drugs, among other law-breaking enterprises.Last week, high-ranking member William "Principe" Jones was sentenced to life in federal prison for shooting and killing a confidential informant he lured to an area next to a cemetery in Sussex County.Jones had served more than a decade for another intentional murder in New York City in October 1993 before being released in September 2008.The DEA worked the Bergen County Trinitarios case with their federal and local colleagues, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) unit, the ATF, the NYPD and police from Fort Lee and Belleville, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.

Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge Isa Abbassi, Jimmy Mercedes, has been charged with Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Certain Person not to Possess a Weapon. As previously reported, at approximately 10:22 a.m. on May 5, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Broadway and East 24th Street on report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, police located the 62-year-old male victim. Robinson, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment, where he was pronounced deceased on May 7. Paterson Student Arrested for Possession of Handgun at MLK Elementary School
PATERSON, NJ – A student at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School was arrested on May 8 after being found in possession of a handgun, the Paterson Police Department announced. According to a statement, at approximately 1:30 p.m., detectives from the Juvenile Division entered the school to speak with a student there who was suspected in a robbery. They searched the juvenile male and found a loaded gun on his person. The police arrested and brought him to the juvenile holding within Paterson Police Headquarters.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER “The school was placed on a brief lockdown, during which the student was escorted from the building by the police without incident,” a statement from the District said. “All the necessary precautions are being taken.” Thus far, the student faces four charges: possession of a firearm, possession of a defaced firearm, possession on school grounds, and possession as a minor, the Department said.
