Orange cones bedevil patrons at beloved Frontenac eatery
Grassi’s Ristorante and Deli has, for good reason, been called a hidden gem. It sits tucked behind the Forshaw furniture store on German Boulevard in Frontenac, across the street from property that not long ago belonged to the Frontenac Racquet Club. First timers to the deli, which makes an incredible roast beef, will no doubt look askance at their GPS. Its location, which this magazine once called felicitous, is part of its charm.

St. Louis Bill Would Kill Speed Hump Red Tape as Pedestrian Deaths Mount
St. Louis leaders are pushing a bill that would let neighbors request speed humps and other traffic-calming fixes without waiting for the entire Board of Aldermen to pass a standalone ordinance for every single block. Alderman Michael Browning introduced Board Bill 75, titled Traffic Calming, and plans to bring it before the Board of Aldermen on Friday. The measure would replace a patchwork, block-by-block legislative process with a single administrative system for evaluating and approving requests.
