Newton Boys Baseball Team Wins by One Over Lenape Valley in Last Game of Season
NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School baseball team hosted Lenape Valley on Tuesday, winning 5-4 in their last regular season game. Mason Bucci and Shea Vallorosi each went 2-for-4 at bat with two singles and two RBIs for the Braves. They each hit one single and scored two points a piece. Starting pitcher was Josh Siegel. Siegel threw 108 pitches in six innings. He allowed four runs off seven hits and struck out six. Maslowski, who closed out the game, threw 16 pitches in the final inning, allowing no runs off one hit and striking out one batter. The Newton High School baseball team ended the 2024 regular season with an overall record of 7-19 and an NJAC- Freedom Division record of 1-9. For more local news, visit TAPinto.net
