Element Indoor Golf in Vadnais Heights is expanding to the south metro.

The indoor golf venue's second location is planned to open in the Burnside Plaza shopping center, just west of Burnsville Center.

According to Element Indoor Golf founder and co-owner Bradley Wohlers, the Burnsville location is planned to feature a dozen Golfzon golf simulators, as well as a full-service bar and kitchen.

"Element is one of the original indoor golf facilities in Minnesota and over the last five years the concept has exploded," Wohlers wrote in a letter to city officials.

The business plans to host events for golfers of all skill levels, as well as host weekly leagues.

"We plan to become a community staple for families, golfers, thrill seekers, sports teams and organizations, business communities and everyone in between," Woflers wrote.

The Burnsville Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the plans last month. The Burnsville City Council's vote on the development is scheduled for late May.

Other south metro golf entertainment plans

Golf entertainment complexes are continuing to boom across the Twin Cities metro, with the Canada-based LaunchPad Golf announcing plans last month to open next to the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake.

In Burnsville, a development team is also proposing to bring a state-of-the-art golf and pickleball entertainment complex to former Freeway Dump site.

While the proposal remains in the concept-plan stage, it's already garnered support from Burnsville Mayor Elizabeth Kautz .
