BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A Burlington man was arrested on Tuesday after a shooting earlier this month, according to a Burlington Police Department news release.

Detectives believe that David Bonilla-Estrada, 21, of Burlington, who was shot used his vehicle to hit the car that Adrian Matias, 19, of Burlington, was driving.

Matias got out of his vehicle and shot at Bonilla-Estrada’s car multiple times.

Matias has been charged with a felony count of shooting into occupied property resulting in serious bodily injury. He was arrested on Tuesday and taken to the Alamance County Detention Center with no bond.

Bonilla-Estrada was served a criminal summons for assault with a deadly weapon.

Police believe there was a feud between the two men before the shooting at the intersection of South Graham Hopedale Road and Hanover Road.
