BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A Burlington teen accused of secretly recording in a church bathroom is now facing additional charges.

On April 28, the BPD was told that Isai Lara Bolaina , 19, of Burlington, was suspected to be secretly recording females in a bathroom at the Jesus es Vida Church on Hawkins Street.

As a result of the police investigation, he was charged with one count of indecent liberties with children and one count of secretly peeping into a room occupied by a female.

On May 17, he was additionally charged with one count of “secretly using a photographic imaging device to view another’s body or undergarments,” one count of possessing a photo obtained “in violation of the peeping statute” and two counts of indecent liberties with a child.

Police say these charges stemmed from discovering additional victims at the Jesus es Vida Church. He was given no bond on these new charges.
