Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Applications are now open for this year's 43North startup competition. 43North will host an informational webinar next Wednesday for business owners to learn more about the competition. The deadline for applications June 7th.

Applications are also open for the Reach East Marketing Accelerator, a program for business owners on Buffalo's East Side that offers free workshops on marketing, branding and communications. Interested businesses can apply at www.ReachEastBuffalo.com.

Food Truck Thursdays returned downtown Thursday morning at 11 featuring 8 restaurants, including Mineo & Sapio Street Eats, The Cheesy Chick, and Pizza Amore. A total of 24 restaurants will participate throughout the season.

Trocaire College hosted a ceremonial beam raising for their new veterinary sciences building Thursday at 11 in Lancaster. The $5 million project adds nearly 3,300 sq. ft. to an existing building.

Millennium Construction is celebrating their 10th anniversary this week. They recently completed a flooring project at Whiting Door and are about to start a multi million dollar project in Olean.
