Albany — The family of Amiel Layeni, who police say shot an Albany Police Officer earlier this month, is looking for answers. Police say Amiel Layeni exchanged gunfire with Jonathan Damphier the morning of April 17th. Layeni shot Damphier in the leg, with Police saying Layeni killed himself seconds after the interaction. Albany Police called it an ambush, releasing body camera footage the next day, showing a portion of the interaction.
