Bell exits as Carroll girls basketball coach
OZARK, Ala. (WTVY) - Carroll coach Jermel Bell is stepping down from his girls basketball and football roles, as well as stepping away from the school. The Birmingham native has served as the Eagles’ head girls coach on the hardwood for the last two seasons alongside his duties as defensive coordinator for Carroll’s football program during the same period.
Zion Chapel competes in State Softball Tournament
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... The Zion Chapel Lady Rebels traveled to Oxford to compete in the Class 2A State Softball Tournament. On day one, Zion Chapel knocked off Sumiton Christian in the first round of the tournament by a score of 9-7. Riley Bannin went 3-for-5 at the plate for ZCHS with a triple and one RBI, while Kennedy Hussey went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and one run. Madison Meeks went 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI and two runs, while Shea Wambles went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs. Aubrey Bassett also went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run.
