Columbia Gas compressor station coming to Newport
February 22, 1991 — Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation is planning construction of a $10.1 million compressor station in southern Page County. According to Kelly Merritt, a communications representative for Columbia Gas, the facility will be located on a 40- acre tract of woods and pasture land on Va. 685 southwest of Newport. Construction is scheduled for July, he said.
