JASPER, Texas — The Jasper Hospital District is expanding its healthcare services and is in need for doctors to step in. The hospital district has the money and over 30 acres of land surrounding the Christus Southeast Texas Jasper Memorial Hospital to build multiple satellite clinics, but need doctors to run them.

DeWayne Armstrong, the City Administrator for the City of Pineland, has announced that Pineland will have a planned water outage for approximately 12 hours beginning on Wednesday, December 6th. According to Armstrong, the water will be turned off at 6:00pm, and should be back on at about 6:00am on Thursday.

BEAUMONT, Texas — A Jasper County man is in custody after firing at deputies and holding them at bay for several hours on Saturday night. Jasper County deputies were sent to a home on FM1004 in Buna at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening for a reported disturbance according to a spokesperson for the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.

KIRBYVILLE, Texas — The missing Kirbyville teen has been found in South Dakota. Madison Susannah Rose Middleton, 17, of Kirbyville was last seen 5 days ago at her home in Kirbyville. She left that evening to go to a friend's house, according to the Jasper County Sheriff's Office news release.

Jasper Police have captured a man who they say is wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Louisiana who evaded them earlier this week. Captain Mike Poindexter said Saturday that the suspect, Mikel Young was arrested shortly after 11:00 on Friday evening at the Prospect Point Apartments on Premier Drive, behind the Lowe's Home Improvement Store here in Jasper, the same place where was last seen on Thursday.
