Officer shot during incident - Suspect killed
WOODVILLE – An officer with the Woodville Police Department was shot and wounded during an incident that occurred on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 17. According to Woodville Chief of Police Mike McCulley, officer Troy Costello was shot by a suspect, identified as 41-year-old Reginal “Reggie” Owens, of Hemphill, who was later shot and killed by officer following a pursuit. Costello responded to a call on the 200 block of Shivers Drive in reference to a suspicious male subject causing a disturbance.

The K-2 grade cheer squad and 3-5 grade cheer squad each have their own football teams consisting of flag, 3-4 grade tackle and 5-6 grade tackle. Each league travels to a different town to play every week. The grade 3-5 Dragon Cheerleaders cheering on the 3-4 and 5-6 Dragons as they took the 27-0 win over Logansport on Sunday, September 17.

She also has a nursing background and knowledge with the geriatric population and is eager to help with any questions regarding long term care or rehabilitation. Jinjer is originally from Sarepta, La.and has resided in Myrtle Beach,South Carolina and Santa Fe,New Mexico.She and her husband Rusty have lived in Center for four years. Jinjer has three children and six grandchildren plus one on the way.
