    Florida woman pleads guilty to embezzling from high school band booster funds

    BRANDON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – The Rankin County woman accused of embezzling from the Brandon High School band booster funds pled guilty in the case.

    Donna Gladney Floyd, of Pearl, was scheduled to go to trial on April 29, 2024, after she was indicted. She pled guilty on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

    Rankin County deputies arrested Floyd on May 22, 2023. Investigators said the case was first brought to their attention by the Rankin County School District and Brandon High School officials.

    According to Madison and Rankin Counties’ District Attorney Bubba Bramlett, Floyd embezzled $45,000 from the Brandon High School band booster funds.

    She is scheduled to be sentenced on April 30.
