Applebee’s locations owned and operated by Flynn Group in Massachusetts and Rhode Island will raise funds for The Jimmy Fund to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through June 18. Guests can purchase pinup cards in $1 or $5 increments, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting cancer research and patient care. Guests who donate $5 will receive a $5 off $25 voucher, valid at their next visit. Over the past eight years, Applebee’s has donated over $505,500 to the Jimmy Fund.

The students at Norwich Technical High School took a half day before the Memorial Day weekend. Instead of slacking off, they were hard at work, giving back to the community. The first Norwich Tech Community Day took place Friday. The yearly event gets students to help in the community. The idea was created by senior Morgan Cook.
New London man arrested after engaging police pursuit with stolen vehicle
NEW LONDON, CT (WFSB) - A New London man was arrested after engaging in a police pursuit with a stolen vehicle from Rhode Island on Wednesday morning. A trooper on patrol on I-95 near the Gold Star Bridge spotted a white 1999 Isuzu NPR loaded with yellow lobster cages that fit the description of a car involved in two other evading accidents earlier that day.

New London man arrested for possession of stolen Narragansett car
NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — Connecticut State Police said that a New London man was arrested for the theft of a car out of Narragansett. 31-year-old Lindsey Brown was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, engaging police in a pursuit, evading responsibility, failure to drive in the proper lane, failure to obey a stop sign, larceny of a motor vehicle, and resisting an officer.
