Boys’ Tennis Earns Competitive Win, Girls’ Tennis Continues to Dominate
The Valley boys’ tennis team traveled to Old Lyme on April 22 and earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory. Three pairings took it to three sets, including Valley’s No. 3 singles player, Deryck Llivichuzhca, No. 1 doubles pairing of Shep Whitney and Eddie Johnson, and No. 2 doubles team of Willem Fitton and Nic Cartagena. It came down to No. 2 doubles to get the win and they did it. No. 1 doubles lost an amazing match in a third set tiebreaker, losing that tiebreaker 11-9.
