BERLIN — Senior Tucker Claxton scored five goals and set up one, and Owen Wynot netted four goals Wednesday night, as seventh-seeded Kent Island High’s boys lacrosse team defeated No. 2 seed Stephen Decatur, 15-11, in a Class 2A state quarterfinal. Winners of eight straight, the two-time defending state champion Buccaneers (12-4) advance to Saturday’s 2A state semifinals, where they will play third-seeded Glenelg (13-2) at Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville at noon. Keegan Green had a hat trick and set up two more goals for Kent Island, and Aidan Henry (three assists), Micah Quinn and Mark Rees each scored once. Grayson Corn had one assist for the Bucs, goalie Christian Lemme registered 12 saves, and Quinn McFaden won 16 of 26 face-offs.
