Pair arrested for abuse of vulnerable adult in Talbot Co.
TRAPPE, Md. – Two people have been arrested following an abuse investigation that began last month in Trappe. On April 23rd, the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into the abuse of a vulnerable adult at a group home on Krismor Court. Police say the home houses three special needs, non-verbal adults requiring around the clock care. The morning of April 23rd, a staff member had just started their shift for the day when they allegedly found one of the residents bound by his hands and feet inside his bedroom. It was determined that the resident had been tied up for more than six or more hours.
Police: Man stabbed, robbed in Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – An investigation is underway after police say a man was stabbed during a robbery last week in Cambridge. Officers were called to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Cambridge during the afternoon hours of May 10th for a report of a victim with stab wounds. The victim told police that he had just left the Beverage Barn on Bayly Road on his bicycle when he was tackled off the bicycle by two men. The victim said he was stabbed in the upper left chest during the incident, and the suspects fled with the bike.
Pair arrested on charges stemming from theft, car crash
GRASONVILLE, Md. – Two people were arrested Wednesday evening on theft and other charges. Deputies were called to Walgreens at around 5 p.m. for a reported theft. Arriving officers saw a vehicle returning to the location with two people inside matching the suspect descriptions. The vehicle then allegedly fled the area at a high rate of speed, leading the deputy on a chase. The vehicle drove through the Route 18 drawbridge traffic arm and over the partially open bridge. Deputies on the other side of the bridge found the vehicle after it crashed into the Waterman’s Monument at the corner of Main Street and Kent Narrows Way S. Witnesses told police that the suspects ran behind Fisherman’s Inn Restaurant.
