Dedication celebrates food pantry’s new on site building
Representatives of Loaves & Fishes Ministries, Warren County Community Foundation and Lakeside Lutheran Church gathered at the Warrenton food pantry on May 30 to celebrate the dedication of a new building that will provide additional storage space. Boydton to celebrate Juneteenth Saturday
Boydton will hold a Juneteenth celebration Saturday from 10 a.m-5 p.m. Juneteenth is a national holiday to celebrate the end of slavery in the United States. Event organizer Theresa Goode acknowledges that Juneteenth celebrations traditionally take place on June 19, but she and the other members of the Boydton Juneteenth committee did not want to interfere with graduation ceremonies and other family and church events that typically take place in mid-June.
Clothing giveaway is planned for Friday

Farmers Market begins storytimes
Looking for a fun and educational experience for your little ones? Warren County Farmers Market is the place to be! The recent session on composting with June’s book and a hands-on lesson and demonstration was a huge success. Ky’el, employee of the Warren County Memorial Library, leads the Storytimes at the Market. Storytimes will be held on the first Saturday of every month between 10 and 11a.m. Next up are tomatoes!
