HENDERSON — The Vance County Commissioners elected commissioners Dan Brummitt and Leo Kelly as chair and vice-chair for 2024 at its meeting Monday night. “Elected,” perhaps, doesn’t tell the whole story. The commissioners generally take turns serving as chair, starting with whoever represents District 1, then District 2 and so on. There have been a few breaks in that pattern.
