Woodcreek gets by West Park, 3-2
Thursday’s baseball playoff game between Woodcreek and West Park came down to the last inning. With the game tied at 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Woodcreek scored the go-ahead run, while in the top of the seventh, Woodcreek pitcher Mason Ferris completed a game he had started, striking out Devin Johnson for the final out of a 3-2 victory for the Timberwolves.

It was a magical day at Otter Creek School nestled in the forest of Volcanoville about 7 miles northeast of Georgetown. Students were out for recess participating in various activities across a roomy playground, including “basketball-court hockey," while Patty Miller, the teacher’s aide, watched.
