De Soto drops Post 218 Navy in final pool game
De Soto SMCI scored five runs in the middle two innings Saturday to hand the Washington Post 218 Freshman Navy team a 7-3 setback in Washington Preseason Tournament play. “We played a very clean ballgame,” Post 218 Manager Kerry Mallinckrodt said. “A few plays and calls made the difference.”

West County Baseball Advances to Quarters With 8 Inning Sectional Win
(Frankclay) After defeating top ranked Valle Catholic for a district title, West County beat 9th ranked Valley Park 3-0 in 8 innings to advance to the Class Three State Quarterfinal in a KREI classic from Frankclay. For six innings the Bulldog’s Caden Merrell and the Hawk’s Isaiah Rose were locked in a pitching battle. Rose left after six, giving up only two hits and no runs. Merrill went the distance throwing 66 strikes on 92 pitches. He struck out eight and walked no one.
