2 Killed On Idaho Roads Over Long Memorial Day Weekend
Over the long holiday weekend for Memorial Day in Idaho, there were 2 fatality vehicle accidents reported by the Idaho State Police. Both accidents are under investigation. On Saturday evening, May 27th, a 20-year-old male was killed while riding his motorcycle near Boise and a 37-year-old male was killed in a car accident near Idaho Falls.

Man found drunk laying street arrested after threatening to kill random woman
MERIDIAN, Idaho — Meridian Police Officers were dispatched on Monday, May 29, to reports of an intoxicated man lying in the roadway. Officers responded to the area of Carisbooke and Pine Avenue, in Meridian, to find Erik Brigham (25) of Boise lying drunk in the middle of the road. Brigham was found with an open container of alcohol in his possession. During their investigation, officers learned that Brigham had threatened a female resident in the area, and threatened to kill her.
A Boise man is being investigated for possible Ponzi scheme related to fake cannabis business
BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A Boise man is under investigation for duping investors out of roughly 60 million dollars on a fake weed business that never existed. According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Rolf Hirschmann of Boise and his partner Patrick Earl Williams from southern California have worked since at least June 2019 to raise capital from investors for a business called WeedGenics.
Young man dies in motorcycle crash on Interstate 84
Idaho State Police are investigating a fatality crash that occurred at 6:48 p.m. on May 27,2023, on I-84 at milepost 41, just west of Ten Mile Road near Meridian. A 20-year-old male from Caldwell was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on I-84 on a Kawasaki motorcycle. The vehicle impacted the right barrier and the driver came to rest on the roadway. The motorcycle then struck a Chevrolet Tahoe being driven by a 44-year-old female from Las Vegas, Nevada. The rider of the Kawasaki succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was wearing a helmet. The two right lanes of travel were blocked for approximately 2 and a half hours. The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

BOISE, Idaho — A kayaker who went missing while on the Boise River has been identified by the Ada County Coroner as 63-year-old Tracy Demaree. Demaree was last seen kayaking the Boise River near the Barber Park area when he was first reported missing. Boise Police recover $38,000 in merchandise after arresting "scooter looter"
BOISE, Idaho — Boise Police Department reports that the Organized Retail Crime Unit (ORC) has recovered roughly $38,000 in stolen merchandise by a suspect on a scooter. The ORC investigators worked with retail partners across the Treasure Valley after learning that the suspect had entered several stores on a motorized scooter, concealed items, and rode out with the stolen merchandise. The Boise Police have dubbed the suspect the "scooter looter," although his real name is Daniel Polletta.
