Biscuitville Continues to Expand Throughout the Carolinas

After opening a new location in Clayton last month, Biscuitville continues to expand through the Carolinas, with two locations coming this summer.

The family-owned breakfast restaurant recently opened a site in Flowers Plantation but plans to open two more locations later this year. To start, Biscuitville will open a new site in Lenoir , NC , at 445 Blowing Rock Blvd , followed by another location coming to Boiling Springs , SC , at 4447 Hwy 9 , according to the company’s website . Both sites are expected to open sometime in Summer 2024 and serve authentic Southern breakfast.

Founder Maurice Jennings started as a flour broker before opening two Mountainbrook Fresh Bread & Milk stores in Burlington, NC, 1966. The following year, Maurice began selling pizzas from several locations of Pizzavilles, which would also serve his made-from-scratch biscuits in the morning. Eventually, the delicious morning pastries became more popular than the pizzas, and the first Biscuitville opened in 1975. Today, there are 82 corporate-owned locations across Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

“We first opened our doors back in 1966, and we’ve been making our biscuits with the same family recipe ever since,” according to the company’s website. “Over the next few months, we’re excited to be opening more doors to new Biscuitville restaurants – introducing our scratch-made, fresh-baked biscuits to new guests while continuing to bring smiles to some familiar faces.”
