YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Boardman woman who received backlash for renting out her swimming pool for parties pleaded guilty Tuesday to unrelated theft charges in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Taylor Moore, 31, entered guilty pleas to charges of theft and telecommunications fraud, both fifth-degree felonies; and theft from a person in a protected class, a fourth-degree felony.

Judge Anthony D’Apolito accepted her pleas. Sentencing is set for Aug. 1.

Moore has already served jail time for similar offenses in Trumbull County.

She was indicted in August after Austintown police received complaints that Moore had been operating a fraudulent furniture business. Investigators received a report that she would put items on her own website that were actually pieces from another store in Liberty, taking the money from buyers but never delivering the items.

Before that, Moore had made news for renting out the swimming pool in the backyard of her Boardman home, which prompted complaints about noise and other issues from neighbors. Boardman trustees filed a civil suit against her, saying she was using residential property for commercial purposes, in violation of zoning regulations.

A judge ordered her to stop renting out her poo l and throwing the parties.
