    6 more arrested as Birmingham’s Operation Knight Rider continues

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Birmingham Police Department announced six new arrests in Operation Knight Rider, an ongoing initiative to stop exhibition driving in the city.

    According to a news release from Sgt. LaQuitta Wade, resources were deployed over the weekend which resulted in the arrests, impounding of six cars and seizure of three firearms.

    The suspects apprehended in this latest operation are as follows:

    • Kizzon Barnfield, 20, of Center Point is charged with exhibition driving. He was booked
      into the Birmingham City Jail. A handgun was seized during his arrest.
    • Lequin Callen Jr., 25, of Birmingham is charged with exhibition driving. He was booked into
      the Birmingham City Jail.
    • Roderick Jackson, 22, of Hueytown is charged with felony attempt to elude, second-degree assault and first-degree receiving stolen property. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail. Jackson also had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest, and a handgun with a glock switch was seized during his arrest.
    • De’Arrion Riddle, 22, of Hueytown is charged with exhibition driving and three misdemeanor warrants. He was booked into the Birmingham City Jail, and a handgun was seized during his arrest.
    • Tramell Robinson, 25, of Oneota is charged with exhibition driving. He was booked into the
      Birmingham City Jail.
    • Danajh Watkins, 25, of Birmingham is charged with felony attempt to elude, first-degree receiving stolen property and exhibition driving. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.

    Vehicles impounded included a 2021 Dodge Charger, 2018 Dodge Charger and two Ford Mustangs. Additionally, a stolen Black Dodge Charger and Black Chevrolet Camaro were impounded.

    Operation Knight Rider will continue throughout the upcoming months.
