Jolly Ramblers Community Tour stops in Gibbon
Twice a year Sandy Pierson organizes area tours that go through the Starland Hutterites Colony. This year the chartered bus of 52 stopped in Gibbon about 8:30 a.m. last Thursday for a light brunch at Mary Jane’s Studio. Then the passengers had time to check out some of the shops. Then the group was off to Starland to check out the metal shop and green house and have lunch. On the way home the bus stopped at the Corner Pizza in Winthrop for an ice cream treat.

Redwood Falls man sentenced for selling meth to task force agents
A Redwood Falls man, Joel Dean Haney, age 56, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for selling methamphetamine to an area drug task force agent. According to court documents, on Aug. 16, 2021, agents with the Brown Lyon Redwood Renville Drug Task Force agents were contacted by an informant who stated he could purchase meth from Haney. The informant was outfitted with an electronic transmitting device, and taken to Haney’s residence, where he purchased a small baggie of meth for $60.
